I reached my goal weight

Well I did it I hit my goal weight today. Back when I first met with Dr. Hodges the doctor who did my WLS, and he told me that he thought it was possible to get down to 250 pounds I thought yeah right this guy is crazy, there is no way I could ever get that low. In my mind I would have been happy at 350 maybe 300 at the least. Then as I started loosing weight I started to realize that it just may be possible to get down to 250. What I did not expect is to be able to reach my goal in just 1 year and 26 days. This journey has just been unreal, and I am still waiting to wake up and it all be a dream. Until I do wake from out of this dream I am going to enjoy every minute of it. I consider myself so lucky, and just lucky to be alive at the least because of the stresses of my different weight I have been on my body from my highest weight of 878 pounds to all the yoyo effects of losing an regaining weight over the years. I just thank God for all he has helped me accomplish, and I hope he will help me continue on my journey. I also want to thank all the guys on the men’s board for all there help and support who have helped make this all possible. I also want to give a special thanks to Cards Fan who has been a great help and inspiration to me in helping me realize that nothing is impossible if you work at it and play by the rules.

Hi Chris

I am hoping to have hernia and skin removal surgery in the near future and the surgeon said he will be removing about 20-25 pounds of excess skin. So I am thinking about trying to get under 200 pounds. I don’t know if that will be possible because I would like to try and increase my muscle mass by hitting the weights big time. So I will keep trying to lose but I won’t be disappointed if I don’t lose to much more weight.
