OT: I see to be getting dumber with age
I was trying to upload images from my digital camera to my computer this weekend. I keep gettin a message that the computer doesn't recognize my camera. It's the only digital camera I've ever owned. I only take about 20-30 pictures a year, so I want to upload pictures for a few years. I know I've done this before. I guess I'll just put in the Solutions Disk tomorrow and hope that clears up that problem.
Along similar lines, I do know how to print pictures, but I couldn't figure how to transfer my images to a CD. My cousing showed me how to do it through Windows Explorer. He works with computers everyday. I just get confounded on a regular basis. Oh, I've had computers for about 10 years now.
ON TOPIC: My weightloss journal is coming along fine. I'm not 100% compliant with lifestyle changes, but I am improving. I do note everything that I eat even if it is junk. Being honest with myself is actually making this journey easier.
I did see a new shrink on Fri and everything went very well. She's located close to home and has daytime hours; my old shrink only had evening hours and had moved further away. I hate driving in the dark--a typical older person's vision thing. I'm only 57 (only?), but, physically, I often act like I'm 20 years older than that. Actually, except for vision and hearing, my 83 year old father is in much better shape than me.
You are well on your way, Bob, just recognizing that being honest with yourself is the best policy.
Perhaps you need to formally introduce your computer to the camera??
Actually, sometimes if you happened to use a different USB port on your computer the system may not recognize the camera. Or if you have loaded a new OS on your computer, possibly. If you have the original CD that came with the camera then you can reload the drivers. Otherwise you can go online and download new drivers. The Solutions Disk will probably take care of it. Don't be concerned about forgetting how some stuff works. There are so many different devices in our lives that it is nearly impossible to remember the details of each one. I work with computers all the time and keep manuals and disks around to refresh my memory when necessary.
