NORMAL BMI
Today is 51 weeks since surgery and I weigh 167, I now have a normal BMI. My wife and I were talking the other evening and she asked me what my expectations were a year ago and if I had thought I would be where I am now. Of course the answer was NO. I never thought that this would be possible in just a year. In no small way alot of the credit goes to the men in this forum. Although I may not have some thing to post every day, it is one of the first things I check every morning when I get to work. The information and support to be had here is great. This is the first place I wanted share this information, well I did tell my wife she was now married to a normal person. Of course she had a comment about that. I now call my self her "lean mean fun machine", I say fun instead of sex for her sake. A guy she goes to church with, works out where I do and made a comment to her about how skinny I was, so that's what I told her to tell him. Highest measured weight was 375. First consultation with surgeon 359. Day of surgey 324. This morning 167. I have more energy and feel like I am 25 yrs old, probably better than I did at 25. I know I am healthier than I have ever been. No more medication of any kind, only vitamins, No more CPAP, high blood pressure, GERD or any of that stuff. Women are a lot more friendly, which is nice, but I am a happily married man and want to stay that way. But it is nice when women give you that smile. Well I am starting to ramble, bottom line is life is good. Thanks guys for contributing to this site and in doing so my success. pan head

wow, i thought i was a lightweight! oh, thanks for asking about me. i'm doing fine thanks. still some problems but just tired posting about it for a while....lol. i actually gained some weight. a little fat but mostly muscle i think. i was down to 145 when i was sick and on the meds but i leveled out at 150-155. well i've gained about 5 to 7 pounds from there. i try to stay under 160 under any cir****tances though. kind of my magic worry to death number. don't want to return down that road number if you know what i mean. so today i'm around 158 and that's just under your weight. you came a lot further than me too. i started at 287. so wow, great job. you must be blown away. i never thought i would be in 32's myself so i know your joy. way to go. as for the g/f, and for you your wife, it's like they get a new boy toy huh? what really is great is i sprung back pretty good using the weights, even at my age. i'm even bigger now than my profile pics. i was on the meds then and at my lowest weight. i've packed on some mass since then. sounds like the same for you too. your exercise routine has made a big difference.
so enjoy the fruits of your labor my man. you've done supremely!! keep up the good work.....carbonblob
