Congrats BF!  I'm sure you would have liked to have gotten their sooner, but I think it's great that you reached your goal 17 months out.  You hear a lot of talk about "windows of opportunity," etc., but you have shown that if you keep working that window never closes.  My uncle has been similarly inspiring.  He went from 6'4" 450+ to ~265 quickly and stayed there for about four years after surgery.  But this year he committed himself to a goal for the first time and has gotten down to ~220, gained muscle, and there's more improvement on the horizon. You and him prevent me from ever being discouraged by short stalls, and also remind me that "goal" is not about a destination I hit or miss but rather a daily journey.

Congratulations, good job! I have hit 198-199 twice in the last 6 years. For about 1 day each time. But now that I am banded, I am confident I can sail past that and reach my own goal, and more importantly, MAINTAIN it. Success stories like yours really inspire me to keep going!
