Heya guys... I'm back!

Thanks everyone! Yes, I did have open, and it's definately made me sore sore sore.. LOL.  Doing ok tho.  Had my 1 week checkup today, and doc said he was 'pleased a*****h' with my progress.

Works for me!

Remember the mantra:  Walk, walk, walk.  Sip, sip, sip.   And NO sit-ups!! 

 

Glad to see you home Dale. Stronger everyday. Each day a little bit further on the walking. Keep challenging yourself without overdoing it. You'll know. Your body will let you know.

Thanks again guys! Bob, Yeah, that catheter was a treat.. LOL..  I was asleep when they put it in of course.   Then, came the removal time.  I had enought anxt built up in my head for 3 people.. LOL.. I was afraid of pain.. etc....but luckily I had a great nurse.  She understood I was embarassed about having a woman besides my wife handling the equipment, and she was descreet, conpetent,  and put me at ease at the same time.  She let me know exactly what she was doing..  took the time to make  sure the 'ball' was COMPLETELY deflated...  before she removed it.  It was very smooth and painless. Boxman... what? No sit ups? LOL...  nope.. no sit ups, but I keep forgetting and trying to sit up in bed normally... ow... had to master that slow roll over to my side.. then s-l-o-w-l-y get up.  Last night I made the mistake of turning quickly from the waist up to point something out to my wife... ow... again.   Learning quickly.. LOL. Dale
