Some kind of a fart (sorry for the smell)

I've started opening boxes in the basement last week to see if I could find some old shirts since the ones I was wearing were starting to be too big for me. I was able to find a bunch of them (most of them looking like new).

My pants were too big and I've decided to go shopping. I've been shopping at Big & Tall stores for the last 10 years but decided to try a store which advertizing pants up-to 56'. After looking everywhere I was able to find one pair!!! Only one problem, they were way too big!

I ended up buying two pairs of 50' !!! Yes, they are tight a little bit but I was able to touch my toes so I think they will look great for Xmas. I just can't wait to see the face of some of the relatives.

We are having the company Xmas party in two weeks and a lot of people haven't seen me since this summer. I'm guessing I'll have a lot of fun with their reactions.

I've kept myself from looking at the weekly weight-in because my weight was becoming too much of an obsession and I felt I wasn't losing quickly enough, but I realized today that I have lost 48 pounds over the last 46 days.... Thats 74 pounds since the end of July...

I'm glad I had this surgery!

Discovering that smaller size clothes fit has been an enjoyable part of my journey. I can now shop in "regular" stores. The selection is amazing. Good to hear you are experiencing the same things.

Too cool! I remember dropping under 50", it seems like yesterday! I also had a large supply of clothes that were too small for me that got me through the first several months. Just wait until you don't need the "fat mans store" anymore that is a FART for sure! Wally world or Kmart are a LOT less expensive! I started with a 56 inch pant and I am now down to a comfortable if not slightly loose 36 in just a year! Keep up the great work, you will be down here in the 30s before you know it!!

On other boards here they call those people who keep checking their weights...scale *****s!!  I would try friends and family for clothes.  I bought $200 in clothes and in 10 days they were too big.  You might want to look to the Salvation Army or Goodwill or other stores for your clothes till you level out.  Brian

Congratulations!  It is really a great feeling going down in pants sizes rather than going up.  Those 50s will only last a short while.  Then you will looking for 46s in about 6 weeks. It is great to be able to shop in regular stores for clothes now.  Years ago I used to wear a lot of LL Bean stuff.  Then I got out of the size range (e.g., 62 pants) and I couldn't shop there anymore.  But I have rediscovered them and have been shopping there frequently.  They opened a store about 1 hour south of my location.  Keep up the good work!

Thanks to all.

I think that going down in pant size will only be a nice problem to have on my hands.

Just came back from 1 hour of shovelling some snow. I guess this was some additional cardio for today.

Bye for now.
