Nothing is sacred here.

1. I have not experienced hair loss, but other have. I've heard that getting in your ample protein helps.

2. Sex is was and will always be rad. Now it's just less of a strenuous work-out! I have seen a mu*****reased drive too.

3. As Dx put it when I asked the same question a year ago: when you dig around the fence post, the post looks longer. So to answer your question, it is very apparant that the fence post has gotten much longer. The wife says it's just all around larger now, but who am I to argue?

4. I was 300. Now I'm 182. I don't need plastic surgery, however, ask me again when I hit goal. I'm an avid runner, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, and am only 31 yrs old. I've been told these things all add up.

#1 some hairloss is common, but temporary ..  you can help avoid it by taking Biotin and zinc piccolinate supps, but esp. be sure to keep your protein levels up!   #2 (don't know yet - some of the guys in the know will have to answer this one!)   #3 I don't know if I would trust a F surgeon, but that's just me (I know - that sounds sexist) ..  they may do just as good a job though as a guy on ya  --   so please don't let my prejudice influence your decision in any way ..  (and yes, I know it makes things look a LOT bigger  than before, but dont' know if there is any measurable difference so to  speak - although I see our med experts - re:  You On A Diet - now claim you gain 1" in length for the first 35 lbs. lost, and some after that with additional weight droppage ..   hmmmm) .  So you can throw away those Extendze pills after surgery!   &:-D)    #4 yes, at that weight you will likely need plastics (esp. if you were a smoker and/or over 40) to get rid of the moobs, manmons, "bro" overhang, upper arms, thighs, butt, abdomen, etc.    A lower body lift will get a lot of it done, though .  with additional procedures for the rest ..   Your ins. may cover it if you had diabetes before or a problem with rashes afterward ..       Good luck, welcome to the board, and ask away anything else you want to know!

thanks for the info just alittle more about me im 32 and was a smoker up till 5 months ago i had to quit in order to have surgery  plus whats the sense in loosing weight to get healthy and die of lung cancer shortly after i work out alittle now so my moobs arent to bad and my arms are quite solid i used to be a amiture body builder before my legs got bad i have a bone issue in them which is why im doing this surgery i agree with sex always is and always will be great but thats cool that it will be easier and the fence post thing make sense too gotta love the thought of that the hairloss thing is not to big a issue for me im loosing my hair anyways from years of bad supplaments  anyways  so i shave my head  now  but was hoping maybe  if i grew it out after surgery it would look thicker cause my head isnt as fat  sound silly though  any way  thank oh and the only reason  i got a women  surgen  is that she helped  pionier the surgery in my state  in  the early 80's and shes  great just dont like to ask female docs about   the bedroon stuff  ya know  thanks again

Welcome to the board.

1) I had a full mane of Fabio type hair before surgery and it all fell out post-op.   Just kidding.  I was bald before surgery and I'm bald now.   I find it amusing that I could probably make a nice winter coat if I shaved my chest and back but for some reason I cannot grow hair in the middle of my head anymore.   If you keep up with your protein intake and your vitamins you shouldn't experience much hair loss.

2) This is a tricky one for me.   I'm 35 and I guess I may be in the few but I've turned into Al Bundy.   I'm pretty much never interested in sex anymore.   I don't know if this is normal or not but I'd rather play a game on my 360, watch a football game or a movie.    I can perform but most of the time I just don't feel like it.   If you would have told me that I would feel like this now when I was 18 - 25 I would have had to call bull****

3) I know there was a post going around months ago about every 50 pounds you lose you can expect to gain 1".  I don't know how true this is.   I think that as you lose your belly you can actually start to see your unit an inch at a time maybe.  Heh.

4) I've got some loose skin around my belly that would be expected with 254 pounds lost.   It's not as bad as some of the cases I've seen though.  Some of the people that I see in the support group meetings that I attend that have lost over 100 pounds look like they are wearing skin suits.   Everywhere else on my body my skin has snapped back into place rather nicely and I attribute that to my cardio and weight routine.  I took my shirt off on a beach in Mexico over the summer and I felt more self-concious about my furry back rather than the skin on my belly if that is any indication of how much it bothers me.  UnderArmour compression shirts and shorts help a LOT.
