O.K. "Muscleheads" - Honesty Time
No steroids here. They cause dependence and depression.
More than likely willingness to stay on a very spartan diet the first year. I don't remember ever complaining about any stage of the diet and even willingly staying on protein shakes most of the first year, except for evening meal.
What else? My pre-op exercise regimen while still MO was 10 hours or more a week, something I continued and even increased later on.
Pure honesty!

Don't know why I'm replying, given that I am a lonnnggggg way from 6-pack abs. Right now I'm more of a pony-keg abs kinda guy--down from a wine-vat!
Seriously, I very much enjoy weight-lifting workouts and am hoping to achieve some serious definition in the future (already seeing a bit), but I do not consider steroids or other questionable supplements because I've jeopardized my health over the course of too many years already. I did not respect my body and having WLS is one step on the road to making amends to the old guy who hauled around way too much weight and was fed too much crap and allowed to sit and waste away. I'm not about to undercut the opportunity WLS and a new eating, exercising regimen are offering me.
(Of course when I finally have plastic surgery, I'll see about getting a six-pack implant, and some neck, deltoid, pec. tricep, bicep, glute, quad, calf and manly chin implants! Either that or I'll wear a padded 1950s Superman suit under my workout outfit!)
Great question. I've enjoyed reading the responses and hope some more real muscleheads jump into the post. Thanks.
