Is there a way to search the forums? I have some questions about different things, such as what vitamins everyone takes, etc.  I know it's all been covered many times, but I hate to flip page by page looking for stuff.. LOL. Thanks, Dale

Besides a search feature...

On another board I frequent (http://pacovilla.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/index.php CA. Dpt. of Corrections if interested) has a feature that puts the newest postings at the top of the page.  No matter if the original post is a year old, if someone adds a new reply to it, it gets moved back to the top.  This is nice.  If any of the chief muckety muks at OH read this, please consider. Thats my $.02.  Thanks for listening.

That is how every other board I've used works.  I always wondered why threads with newer posts would be lower down than threads with old posts. The lack of a search feature is a pain.  I sometimes use Google's advance search feature to only search in the www.obesityhelp.com/forums/men domain.

“My Other Board” is actually a WLS Forum And it [has] just such a search feature, And [the] posts “bump” to top like every other message board. It’s also populated by a good many further out post-ops Who used to post frequently on OH. A good many ‘newbies’ and pre-ops as well, But a pretty deep knowledge base Of 4 and 5-year+ Post ops. Best Wishes- Dx  [edited to include dropped words]

Actually,  you can already do this on the OH forums as well. Make sure you're signed into OH, then go to the message board page. On the top left side of the screen it has a list of links "Forum Home, Message Board, Recent Posts, Chatroom, Member List, and User Settings". Click on "User Settings". Toward the bottom, find "Default View Preference:" and click the "Topics with most recent posts first" radio button, then click save. Now on all message boards you go to, messages with most recent posts will be listed on top.

OH has many searchable features, but, IMHO, could make many improvements in that regard  ..

For example, it would be neat to be able to search the total membership roster by city ...   With so many 1,000s of members, I think you can search by state, but then you have to go through page after page of members' info, trying to find which ones are in the particular city you're looking for ..    I  would think this feature would really help people trying to get the word out about their local support meeting groups ..

You can use the search here at the very top of the page, just click off the WEB & on OH, it's next to photos. But I think it just cover others profiles. I used it the other day looking for Cigna post.

You're a genius! Thanks for that, I never would have thought to click on the OH, I thought that was a link. That's bad UI design - these should be radio buttons. Btw, it does search forum posts as well.
