Anyone else have a GREAT Thanksgiving Day?
Good morning George. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. My 2 kids and I had a feast here at home and then we just chilled. I cooked a turkey, dressing, beans, pumpkin soup, and my son's favorite old fashioned chocolate pie. Today, we will go to my sister's for a bit and then another afternoon of CHILLING till we go bowling tonight!
Have a great weekend!

I know what you mean. My kids and I live near (my son is 7 miles away, my daughter 25 miles), but we don't get together that often. We talk a lot on the phone, but all under one roof is reserved for holidays and some birthdays. Normally, we are together for about 2 or 3 hours and then someone has to leave. On Thursday we all hung around together for almost 6 hours.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Mine sucked .. Alone as always .. This time, instead of the usual turkey T.V. dinner at home, I thought I'd go out to a fancy hotel buffet (the Marriott) to co-miserate with other loners , since now I'm a "mobile" post-op ..
The experience was even more depressing .. there was almost no one there . and the food items were SO limited (no wonder it was only $25 vs. as much as $75+ at other hotels!), except for the desserts .. it was more like a self-service T.V. dinner with a salad bar added .. I felt so depressed then I did something stupid and decided I wanted to try a little sample of all of the desserts before I left -- I ate them too fast, something stuck and saliva started backing up in my throat .. I ran to the bathroom and &;-o~~ ~ ~ for the first time since surgery (is there such a thing as post-op bulemia???) ..
No - it was not how I imagined my first T-day since surgery would go, 15 months earlier .. (well my second, the first time @ 3 months out I had a single slice of turkey and a few bites of stuffing and taters at home) &:-/)
