I think this may have been talked about before (as OH goes on and on, we will see alot of the same stuff over and over).  Those who are alittle further out, what are you eating for breakfast.  Are you getting your protein in first.  I will just open the fridge and grab for some protein and vegetables.  The protein will either be; Wendi's Chili, steak, protein shake in milk, stew, nuts,  egg salad, tuna salad, or something like these.  I won't mention the rest of the day (I am alot more flexable).  What to you guys usually have?  Brian   PS I may have 2-3 oz  of coffee with alot of milk and Splenda if I am running to work (after my protein).

One soft scrambled  jumbo egg with onion and green pepper topped with 1/4 cup shredded chedar cheese. For some thing different I top with hot sauce or salsa.  Last week I tried a vanilla low carb yogurt with high protien cereal. It was some thing that I read in one of Dx's posts. It was pretty good. I got the sample of cereal at support group meeting. Now I have to find where to buy it. It was apple cinamon and with the vanilla yogurt it was pretty good. If I am in a really big hurry I will have a protien shake. Isopure low carb chocolate. pan head

Brian Breakfast is almost the same thing everyday. 1 egg omelet 1/4 cup of 2% Kraft Shredded Mexican cheese 2 table spoons of sour cream on top 4 table spoons of salsa on top. Then if I am working at home as I do most days, I drink a pot of decaf coffee through out the morning about 60oz.  I love it - can you tell.   Yesterday I was traveling in and ate nothing for breakfast - no time.  But after my early meeting I got to the airport and had a cheese burger with mushrooms no bread, and no fries at 11:00 at TGIF.  I ate about 3/4 of it.  It was ok, not the best.  It did keep me full for the rest of the day until we ate dinner at 6pm (5oz Chicken Teriyaki and Green Beans) I also had a snack last evening - about 6 Low fat triscuts with a low fat swiss on top.  YUM. GET IN THAT PROTEIN!! Have a great day Brian. Chris 326 Start/169 Today/155 New Goal

A handful (quarter cup) of uncooked or lightly toasted rolled oats, a half cup of low fat cottage cheese and Mrs Dash Chapotle seasoning to taste. Be sure to chew thoroughly before swallowing. Some go "yech" but I find it satisfying for taste, texture, chewiness and feeling of fullness that lasts. I got the idea from putting granola in yogurt. I will do a couple slices crisp bacon and a couple eggs on teh weekend. Rich

Usually I have one egg scrambled with a piece of cheese and 1 piece of bacon and a piece of wheat toast with margarine.  Thats when I eat at work, the cafe here is pretty big.  They have cereal, but nothing with no sugar or high in protein.  Occationally I have half of a small cup of oatmeal with 2 equal packets and a few raisins. SOme mornings I stop at McDonalds and get a breakfast burrito - just one of course, and I eat most of it  Eggs and cheese and fake sausage I figure has to have some protein in it. If I am home, special K protein Plus cereal, or an egg with some meat. I am pretty boring now adays..

I used to get up and have a protein drink every morning, but lately I've been more concerned with getting my fiber in too, so start the day with 2 shredded wheat biscuits cereal and a banana or blueberries with a little milk and splenda. I still push the protein all day long so getting my protein in isn't a problem for me.

Breakfast is my toughest meal of the day.  It seems I wake up long before my pouch does.

My usual is about 3/4 cup of cream of wheat with pro-powder then 30 - 45 mins later a pro shake chaser.  This usually starts around 5:00 each morning and holds me til noon when I can get a real meal.  From 6 til noon I usually get in about 60 oz of water and a near equal amount decaf.

my breakfast is pretty boring in that I eat the SAME thing EVERY day.... though it's one of my favorites, and it's loaded with good protein among other things. 2-3 fried eggs, an english muffin and on weekends (more time available) I'll add 2-3 strips of bacon.  To drink, I have a small glass of OJ and a mug of coffee w/ splenda and half & half really ****** my wife off to see me eat that way... she's fighting down her cholesterol and having to watch what she eats so much because of it... I've been eating the above pretty much every day since my 3rd or 4th month post-op... just got my labs back... my total cholesterol is 109 She kinda hates me right now.
