Troy, I was told to wait until- The anesthesia wore off, The Foley catheter was removed, And the majority of the nurses had left the room. “As tolerated….” Seems to be the most often doc-recommendation. And, like everything else associated with post-op life? It gets easier/better each month…… Hang in there! Best Wishes- Dx

 

Do you mean alone?  or with another person  in the room?

for me it was the day I got home from the hospital.  You have an excuse to be on the bottom and let her do all the work

Just like with a vasectomy.  The doctor told me when I was physically able.  We had sex 9 hours after the vasectomy (I had to make sure it still worked).  When I discussed it with my current family practice doctor, he said "I bow down to you".
