Some new FARTS for me
I am just a couple of weeks from being 6 months out of surgery. This week I went on my first business trip since surgery.
FART 1 - Was able to sit on plane (regional jet) without a seatbelt extender.
FART 2 - Was able to put down the tray on the plane (can't remember ever doing that before).
FART 3 - I have always been a NASCAR race fan. This trip was to Charlotte and I thought that while I was here I might as well check out the track tonight. Anyway, it turns out they had a driving school going on and one of there offerings was to ride in a car for a qualifying run with a professional driver. I couldn't pass it up. It came time to get in the car and I was a bit nervous, "How am I going to climb in (through the window) without looking stupid". Turns out it wasn't an issue at all. I had a coworker there who said it looked like I had been doing it my whole life. I took the ride and it was awsome. 170+ MPH for part of the 3 laps. Now I want to go back and take the real driving course and actually drive one of these things. 6 months ago I never would have been able to even fit in the window.
What a great week,
Brian
