Early wake up call

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am to check in at 5:30 am and surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am. 5:30 am...as in...in the morning. I don't do mornings. There is a reason I work nights. I figure I should get a break on the anesthesia bill since I will be mostly unconscious at that time of the morning anyway. Anyway, no, I really still don't feel nervous. I am more excited than anything. If all goes well, I hope to be posting here Saturday telling you all how great it went and that I am home recuperating. Will chat with you guys soon from the post-op side.....

Today might be your hardest day...cleaning out your system.  Try and get your sleep if you can.  I couldn't sleep the night before.  I awoke my wife at 3am and asked her if I was doing the right thing?  She said yes...calmed me down and then she went back to sleep.  Wish I had taken a sleeping pill but didn't know if the doctor would ok it.  I had to be there at 5am for a 7am RNY.  You should sleep will tommorow afternoon.  Keep in touch.  Brian

Good luck my friend.  Better first thing in the morning than having to wait around all day.  My surgery got bumped to the end and the one before me went into overtime so no food and no liquids all day sucks.  I will say a prayer for you and yours. God Bless!
