Question about Mushrooms
Hey guys, long time no post. Well I was wondering, do Mushrooms sit will with you guys? For some reason I can't tell. I had a stuffed mushroom for dinner tonight here in Antarctica and if made me feel as if I was gong to throw up and almost did but held it down. Nothing like standing in the bathroom praying you don't throw up.
I also had a piece of roast beef tips and some beef stew....I normally can eat the amounts I did but wonder if the mushroom is to hard to digest....Any thoughts? First thought that came to mind was a stricture. However, I am 6 months out almost and was eatting just fine yesterday. The stricture is a fear because of being here in Antarctica they probably can't treat it and I do not want to be medivaced out for that because doubt they will let me come back for the season.....Any ideas?
I’m with Jim, It was most likely the fat content. ’Shrooms’ are a staple of my diet. No problems with them ever. They are a low-cal source of some protein as well. Could have been what they were stuffed with. Best Wishes- Dx
Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
I added mushrooms at about 3-4 months out, and now at almost 8 months out I eat them VERY regularly. First thing i thought of was either high fat content (breaded, fried, etc), or maybe you didn't chew them well enough - they are pretty rubbery.........
But, I eat them several times per week, and i've never had a problem with them. If you are eating food prepared by others, maybe there is more fat/oil than you are aware of......
Good luck, and hope you are having a great time down there...... Have you met any dancing penguins yet??????
