Milk Consumption
Had a chance to ask a questions to my surgeon at the last support group meeting. I said my PCP said I don't need a bone scan if the calicum labs show up ok. What did he think of that? He said get a bone scan because there is malabsorbtion going on with RNY. Just because you are eating properly doesn't mean you are getting the absorbtion. Like Joe said it is a safty outlet you need to use. And what has been stressed to me is on some of these vitamins and minerals...if you come up short, you may not be able to make it up later. You may not be able to repair from these issues. Vitamin B-1 and B-12 are two that once you fall short you can not recover. We just don't know what problems can arise in the future...You just may not want to chance it...Brian
