Hooollllyy Sheeet! It's Buckeye. Welcome back brother (I should talk, lately though!).

How have you been? Are you still pumping iron?

I get in a couple of times a week still, but have been doing more sprinting and other running and balance drills.

Best Wishes,

Dave in Japan

Dave, You look great.... I mean that in a manly way...lol I have been lifting a little, but I really need to get back into it in a serious way.  I have been doing some Yoga and I really like it. I am sure we can compare programs down the road. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thanks, Buckeye.

I'm a little smaller now since I'm not overtraining with weights, but running a lot instead (sprints and running form work). Body fat is below 10% now from the diet I'm on.

Yoga is great. Depending on how you do it, you can get the same affect as with weights, and increase your flexibility too. My understanding is, there are Yoga exercises for every type of effect. I do the Dhanusarana, The Bow Pose (lay on face, grab ankles) every other day. It's like the Yoga version of the deadlift. Also slims the waist and gives a cardio effect at the same time. It's somewhat popular with swimmers. I also remember doing the sunworship circuit and really beefing up while increasing flexibility.

My biggest project lately (it's a big one!) is Pose running, basically a type of running which helps prevent running injury. It's all balance and ball-of-foot running. It's a lot like yoga in some ways, with the looseness that's required and the balance work involved.

Can't go wrong with Yoga, flexibility and balance, though. It's great to be strong. That's one aspect of youth that can disappear, but balance and flexibility also tend to "dry up" if you don't work on them.

Rotation is good also, I rotate from one activity to the other, which is probably why I've never had a sports or training injury.

Hope you've got some new pics on Flickr or somewhere. Would really like to get a visual on the new Buckeye!

Best Wishes,

Dave

Thanks Joe, Its good to be back. As you may realize... I am an avid proponent of weight training for men that have had WLS. I am sure you will see results from your  strength training program. Good Luck
