Has anyone had this issue
Footsieiii, you didnt say what type of surgery you had and I dont know that it would matter, but I had RNY almost 19 months ago, and about 4 or 5 weeks post-op I developed the same symptoms you describe. Towards the end, I couldnt even keep down a sip of water without tossing it back up (sorry for the graphics). It turned out to be a bowel obstruction, and I had to be rushed into surgery to have it taken care of. Now dont panic because it could be something entirely different with you, but you may wish to mention this to your doc. I would hope that he would have considered this already and ruled it out if not the problem, but I dont know how common this is. Whatever the case, you cant let this persist, as you already know, you are losing valuable nutrients by not being able to keep anything down.
Again, dont panic, whatever the problem is. it will be found and taken care of. Hopefully it is something minor. Keep us posted and good luck.

First, Welcome to the Men’s Board! Now, you know, it sounds like the classic symptoms for a stricture, Particularly with "kicking back" the liquids this week. Stay all on top of that doc. Having a Hunch, or even Really Educated Guess that it’s not a stricture, Is very different that doing an endoscopy to make sure. Yes? Many have reported that a food that was working fine for them one week Caused them to be ill the following. And, once you irritate the pouch - (I’m presuming RNY on statistical probability) It can be "fussy" for quite a while over just about anything. Hopefully your issue will be straightened out soon. Best Wishes- Dx
