Home but not doing well
Hey Bob,
Glad to see you've made it home. Everyone on the board has been pulling for you. You may still not be feeling great but you must be improving or they wouldn't have let you go home.
Hopefully the numbness goes away with time and healing, however has the neurologist looked into the fact that it could be neuropathy? I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet from my Diabetes. I did read though that you can get neuropathy from several different things and one way besides Diabetes was from any kind of trauma, which surgery is a form of trauma.
Hopefully this is not the case with you, but it couldn't hurt to mention it to the Dr's.
Again great to have you back on the board, and great that you made it back home.
Dan
Bob,
There are not enough words to explain how thrilled I am to see you back home. You may not be doing well, but at least you are doing and that is the most important thing.
Although I can't answer most of your questions, the first thing that comes to mind with the numbness (especially if it is a tingling, kinda like your foot went to sleep) is low Vitamin B-12 levels.
