I have the VG band and it was put in on 8/1/07. Since having the band put in I have lossed 40lbs for a total of 60lbs when you include the two week liquid diet I was on. Today I was at the doctors for my second fill, because with in the last weeks I have been able to eat anything that I wanted. To give you some backround my starting weight was 477 and today I weighted in at 387, I currently have 5cc in my band. Like any other tool, you need to work the band. When I have good restriction I follow the rules: Protein first and very little carbs if any. I generally start my morning off with a protein shake since I don't have time to cook breakfast and the protein will hold me to lunch time. For my food (protein wise) I try to make good choices such as: Fish, grilled chicken, turkey and my favorite trukey chilli. I get a lot of water in as well. And stay away from fast food with the exception of Wendy's for either a salad or Chili.

Hang in there - you know that I'm in your corner. You were the one that inspired me to have my WLS and for that I am grateful. Enen though your weight loss has been slow, remember that you are still smaller than you were this time last year, and that is a true blessing.
