Have a date...getting nervous.
Hi Rusty,
Welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of good guys on here with plenty of experience with the things that you will be going through. It's absolutely completely natural to be nervous, after all this is major surgery and a big decision.
I had a VSG a year ago (also had a BMI of 40). I wasn't really very nervous until the day before my surgery. It took me a while to make the decision to have surgery (I was self pay) but once I made the decision, I didn't look back.
Good luck !

What-up Rusty
I'm right there with ya, My date is one week after yours on the 19th (RnY) I too am a little nervous. I think that we are suppose to be. It might a problem If we weren't. Remember it is in His hands, and I don't mean the surgeon. For me it is worth the risk, so I can be healthy and see my child grow up. She needs her dad. You have to decide witch is more important a longer, healthier life or a fat, shorter one. Thats the way I look at it.
Thx for the big welcome guys. I can already tell that talking to you guys has helped my nervousness about the procedure. Chip I hope your surgery goes well and look forward to hearing how your surgery goes. You're right though, it is in his hands. I'm like you, I have children and want to see them grow up. I wish you luck bro. Take it easy.
