I Am Still Fat

My company has just over 100 but *****y is the word.  We have a lot of old and poorly rated employees so to cover the surgery or any weightloss is an option my company chose to exclude.  At this point self funding is out of the question, I have schooling to pay for, two kids  and wife to support and a job that is strictly commission which is obviously not supportive.  Right now I see as my next step is control my eating, finish my schooling (5years) and continue a job search to find an employer that will cover me.  My wife has exact same policy with the same exclusion so that is not an option.  So close and yet so far.  For my own sanity it is out of my hands I must continue on with work and family.  Frustrated and tired I trudge on there is no other option.  Thank you for you supportive input.

are you talking career military or just a stint of service.  I spent 3 years active, dessert storm got out after that.

Just a stint is fine.  If you have a DD214 that says you where honorably discharged

than all you have to do is apply for health benefits through the VA and then

request a Bariatric Consult for Gastric Bypass from your PCP.

 

I am having mine done on November 6th and the VA is picking up all the costs.

If this turns out to be true which you are saying it is I am going to jump off a cliff.  I spent the last year fighting this and never tried VA.  I am a combat vet. honorably discharged with three years service.  Is this provided by state or federal

Not that I want an entire webpage about myself but how am I supposed to sleep to night knowing there is a 375# carrot dangling in front of me through the VA.  No one ever mentioned it. I am stuppified,  I don't know if I should throw up or go eat a cheesecake which is what got me into this mess in the first place (cheesecake not the throwing up)  If anyone has any input or contacts or knows a guy who knows a guy please let me know.  My first thing tomorrow is calling the VA
