Mr Hab… My PS was a breeze! I’ve had more difficult times Ordering at a fast-food drive through. Not everyone’s is so smooth. Some claim the pain to be worse. My experience was that the Plastic Surgeon’s Are a little more interested in keeping their patients comfortable as possible. Mine gave me scripts for 3 different “Pain-Level” Meds. My recovery went pretty fast, about 2 weeks to getting around normally And about 4 weeks before I wasn’t noticing it. The swelling (in my case) lasted for Way Too Long. But, it wasn’t anything more than a slight ongoing annoyance. My scars ended up looking like fine pink ball-point pin lines. Compared to my other scars they are non-existent. As for “contact sports?” We’ve had a couple of Boxers and a Hockey Goalie here…. What sport do you play there?  Rugby ?  Aussie-Rules- Football? We’ve had a few drop below goal, and bump their calories up To put back on some extra muscle. That’s really a rare occurrence. But it can happen, does happen, just rarely. Best Wishes- Dx

I just finished my first post WLS season of flag football, and I really noticed the difference in my body and what I can do.  I have a fraction of the strength and size I had, and had to switch positions fro center (which I have been for all my life, pee wee, HS, College, etc.) to defense, which I enjoy much more.  I am faster and more agile now, which works out very well for me. I havent had any major issues, and my surgeon said its no problem after I think 8 weeks (at least for me) to participate in sports like that.

Awesome news on the sports.. I currently play Touch Rugby, and im a goalie in soccer but i was previously playing Aussie Rules footie aswell.

Looking forward to being fitter and faster though i might not have that intimidation factor anymore
