Brian, I keep a couple of Ostrim Meat sticks in my briefcase, some Almonds or Cashews, And a few SouthBeach High Protein Cereal Bars. With me, I never know when a meeting will pop up or run long And I’ll miss my clock-work feeding! J I also keep a SF RockStar Energy drink, or a SF Redbull on hand… Never know if Starbucks will close early…. Best Wishes- Dx

Just to join in....jerky rules.

I also keep crackers and peanut butter. Also I have had a weird craving for pimento cheese....

DX - redbull and rockstar are good?? I was always drinking Monster pre WLS. Been scared to try it.

Good?  I love ‘em… Good for me? Naw….  But I love ‘em…

SF Rockstar is my favorite. Over ice, most of the fizz is gone soon. I only do Sugar-Free... My Pre-Op “Mainstay” was Diet Coke…. Not fond of them at all now… Maybe one every 3 months or so…. Best Wishes- Dx

I thought about that before but rather not, otherwise I'll end up eating it when I'm not even hungry...

I don't have anything, and I doubt I will. That's what gas stations are for... However, I am reading this intently. I'm part of the wilderness search team. We have to be able to go at a moment's notice to a search,  and be in the field 12 hours at a time with survival supplies to last us 24-36 hours if something happens. Most others carry granola or trail mix, and I can't do that. Keep the ideas coming, so I can figure out what I might pack besides jerky.

I only take, keep, food with me when I know it is not going to be a structured day. When at work, I am pretty much on a schedule or in a routine. On weekends for instance I will take a bottle of water and the single size SF drink mixes with me, I just refill the water bottle from a fountain when needed. I buy a large container of almonds at Sam's club for ten bucks and I measure out an oz at a time in a little snack size baggy, same thing with beef jerky. I buy it at Wally world, I don't remember the brand but it is in a large brown bag and goes for about eight fifty a pound, which is cheap for jerky. I buy a bag a wee****ep both of these on hand and are part of my regular diet.  pan head

Yup, I too am a jerky fan...but bison jerky! It's not as "tough" to chew as the beef ones I find, but still rock hard and all protein! Should you find some, give it a try! Jim

I don't keep a lot of stuff in the car other than some Ostrim sticks and sometimes beef jerkey and a few bottles of water.  I've found that if I have peanuts or other things then I start snacking during my long commutes. JP
