It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +

Hey Guys,
Well, its a cold and rainy (maybe snowy later) morning here in Colorado. I'm definitely staying in where its warm. Especially now that I don't have the extra "insulation" to keep me warm. I'm not complaining though.
I've been at 227 for a while now. This week I dipped to 225, back to 227 this morning though. I'm happy with my size and weight. Although, I wouldn't mind losing another 20 pounds.
The journey continues......

I have been around the locker room a lot lately because I have too busy living my new life. I am 18 months out today and I have been doing really well. I eat normally these days just a lot less that I did in the past. I stabilized around the 220lbs (My High School Weight) mark about 6 months ago and I have been maintaining with no problems. I love the fact that I get full now on a reasonable food portion. In the old days I would eat till it hurts and then eat more a few hours later because I was still hungry. I'm still getting a lot of exercise these days. I hiked about 8 miles yesterday and I am leading a hike to the NC Mountains next weekend to view the changing trees. Life is busy but very fulfilling these days. I now maintain a schedule that would have killed me 2 years ago and I am hardly breaking a sweat. I had a photo/video shoot on Tuesday of this week for
Duke
Hospital as part of an ad and education promotion for their WLS program. Looks like I'm going to be a poster child for RYN at Duke. They did a whole photo spread on me and my black lab Jack. We walked over a 1000 miles last year after I had WLS. I lost 242lbs and Jack lost about 20lbs from a high of 102lbs down to about 82lbs. He is the ultimate power walker; we have covered as far as 11-12 miles in a morning.
Highest - 460lbs
Date of Surgery - 388lbs (4/17/06)
Last week - 220lbs
Today - 219lbs
Loss for past six months ~5lbs (+/-)
Total loss from RYN - 242lbs
