Greetings!!!

Greetings everyone from the great continent of ANTARCTICA!!! Thats right, I finally made it down. My journey began on Oct 3rd and I arrived on the continent on Oct 9th. I spent 2 days in Denver CO, 2 days in Christchurch NZ and finally here I am. The USAF broke the C-17 so we had to take the Kiwi Herke (New Zealand Air Froce) down here. That ment an 8 hr flight instead of 4.5....oh well.  The food here is not to shabby. Fatty though. But I am working in everyway just fine. Dehydration is a big thing here. There is no humidity and I am working on cargo so I am always moving. But its not bad. They supply big like 42 ounce water bottles that we just keep filling. I usually drink at least 1.5 of those a day. Protein is kind of hard but thats ok. My protein powders and mixes arrived the other day. I am still hovering right at 265 pds down 100 pds since May 15th. Considering everything I weigh is with my big red goose down parka and my ski googles, and my carhart pants, and my steele boots on. That has to add an additional 10 pds so I am at like 255 really....lol.... Anyways just wanted to let everyone know whats going on. The temp right now is about -10 and a windchill of -25 but thats not actually that bad if dressed right.

Glad to hear that you made the trip safely. All I can say is "Toto, your not in Kansas anymore". Try to say warm - I would be freezing. The coldest I've been in is -4 and I thought my lungs were going to explode. How long are you going to be there?
