umm It never goes down
It's called testosterone. Male hormone, from what I have learned here, it is stored in fat and with rapid weight loss it is released into the system. With you being some what young any way, compared to most of us here, here in lies your problem. I wouldn't call it a probelm, tell your wife to enjoy it. As far as work goes , just tell them your happy to see them. I am forty nine and I wake up with with "wood" so to speak every morning, and it does happen through the day as well. I am glad that I don't drink any more because with my new found confidence and the ladies making comments on how good I look, plus how horny I am all the time, it's hard to tell what might happen. Yes, pun was intended. pan head

There seems to be some change that people go through after WLS. At night during sleep is the biggest issue. Sometimes it becomes a dilemma: should I get up and get rid of it and go to the bathroom or just ignore the woody and the urge to go and go back to sleep.
I'm fine during the day (fortunately, given that all of my students are young and female).
Don't know what could cause it. I think that fat strangulates things down there somewhat. Then, there's of course the stored testo. And reduced insulin/ glycogen from calorie/carb cutback allows some hormones to be more effective.
But thinking back, I think I was always like that in my 20's.
(Maybe I *have* aged: Now it's available only when *I* choose for it to be.)
Best Wishes,
Dave
