4 years in the making!

Well, I got to celebrate my 4th anniversary of RNY yesterday.  Instead of doing the cake routine, I celebrated by doing a 5k Saturday morning.  I was clocked in 27 minutes even, so this 54 year old is getting better and faster. This has been an amazing journey!  Started at 340 pounds, and today I weighed 175.  Unlike prior to surgery, I actually look forward to each day now.  I take no prescriptions now (except Cialis)!   My weight has stabilized over the past two years between 176-179 on a 3200 calorie "diet".  White refined stuff is a thing of the past.  I also have not had a soda, beer or liquor in over four years.  Sex is better than ever (almost non-existent for fifteen years with my weight and kids).  So life couldn't get much better.   Cutting this short, since I gotta go eat my 6-oz filet tonight with a salad.  Just to let you know that there is life after purreed food. Thanks to everyone for there help in making this so much fun. Rob from DE  Go Team

Congratulations, Rob. I just turned 53 and I hope I am doing so well next year. Especially with one of the topics you mentioned. :-)

Outstanding, Rob

Congradulations. My low a few days ago was 178 and I have been bouncing up and down about three pounds. I hole hardily agree on the sex part of it. I wake up every morning standng at attention. It's like being twenty years younger.
