Had some privacy issues with ObesityHelp.com which has led me to start over with a new profile.  Just finished bringing over all my blog posts, photos, etc.  But not friends.  I'll have to re-friend you all .... soon.  Blogged about a clothing purchase, so thought I'd share that information here.  Would welcome similar experiences.  Oh, I'll take a picture with my new jeans ... soon. Went on a blind date last week, and did some rewarding of myself in anticipation. Bought some fashion jeans at Macy's: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=156136&CategoryID=21796 If that link doesn't work, it's the first thing that comes up for me in Google when searching: macys inc jeans men new dealer That's the INC (International Concepts) Regular Fit New Dealer Jean. Yes, $60. So strange to spend that much money on jeans. Had to keep forcing myself to proceed. So, a quick review: They're a nice, slim fit, which is good for me now. I've later tried other fits for jeans, and relaxed and/or loose fit jeans don't feel very good. Lots of baggy leftover material. The one down-side is that they're a slightly lower rise than is available standard on chinos/khakis. That's a problem since I still have this leftover pannus hanging around. The rise is low enough that the pannus doesn't stay tucked. I later add in a belt, which helps a bit. They only stock the black with stone-washed look on the front of the thigh and in the seat. Never thought I'd buy jeans with that kind of blasted/sanded pre-worn look, but again, I forced myself. Also bought a fragrance, Angel Men by Thierry Mugler. I like it, but have gotten mixed reviews from friends. Got complements from friends on the jeans, wore them on the date, and swing dancing as well. "You look better dancing in pants than shorts. Your lines are better." I guess I'm not surprised. A week later, I bought a second pair of jeans, Levi Strauss Signature Low Boot Cut from Target, $25. Was in a hurry, so didn't really have time to shop around, or else I wouldn't have bought another pair of low-rise jeans! This shopping is when I found out i don't like the relaxed/loose fit jeans. Man is that weird to think/say/feel!!!

Your doing great!  Nice to see how our priorities get changed around after this surgery.  Before for me, it was eat-eat-eat and then go hide.  Now it's getting out and enjoying life, and making sure I don't miss a minute of it.  If you figure out that your jeans probably is equivalent to six of your old lunches they really don't seem so expensive.  Keep up the good work. I've really gotten into nice clothes after my weight loss but I'm more into bargain shopping. Fine fashion (e.g. jeans, shirts, jackets, workout clothes, shoes, etc.) at a fraction of the cost so to speak. Ross Stores and TJ Maxx clearance be the bomb. Levis, DKYN, Lees are at bargain basement prices. I rarely spend over $10 for an item unless it's a suit or leather jacket. .  Boner
