FART: Holy Sh*t I am below 300
I still can’t believe it, this morning I weighted in at 299 pounds. In just 13 days short of 11 months since my RNY surgery,(11/14/06) I am below 300 pounds. I haven’t been this weight since 1978. That’s 245 pounds lost, I have been working my ass off at the gym, and the pool the last few weeks. I have stepped up my weights and my cardio, I also bumped up my protein level by adding my protein mix to caffeinated coffee, and have been drinking about 2-3 pots a day mainly before and after working out. I was thinking about the first time I met with my Doctor who did my RNY on 7/3/06, I remember him telling me he could do my surgery even at my weight at that time of 613 pounds. When he told me he could see me getting down to 250 pounds I thought he was off his rocker. I would have been happy getting down to 350 pounds, now I wont be happy until I reach my goal of 250 pounds and I will keep working my ass off until I do and beyond. Also if my doctor decides I have lost enough weight before the end of the year he is planning to do my hernia surgery and while he is doing that he will remove as much excess skin as he can, and pull everything tight. He said with all the excess skin and stuff I got hanging(like Russ says looks like a manta ray) that could be 30 to 40 pounds off.
I want to thank all you guys on the board for all you help and inspiration, you guys have helped me keep moving forward and realizing that I can make my goals. I also want to give a special thanks to my friend Cards Fan for all his help, getting me started and maintaining a great workout program, and keeping me motivated ,and just being a great friend. Last but not least I dedicate my goal today to Bob McQueen, besides him being a fellow Missourian and a member of this board and just a great guy, I think about him all the time, and I look forward to the time when I and all of us will be reading his posts on him reaching all of his goals. Again THANKS TO EVERYONE for all your support. Alan
