The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
September 30th!
This Month is OVER!
(I've been "Off-the-Web" a lot this week, in non-cyber-activity. Hope all are doing well.)
(Continued thoughts, prayers
and well wishes
out for Bob and family....)
Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-
It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179
Me?- Total Shocker!
(-after a month with no change...at 184...)
181... just dropped all at once out of the Blue!
"I didn't do nothin!"
(OK, It's actually my Saturday Weight,
but I'll be up and out the door in the morning before I get a chance to post!)
So, What about YOU?
(NEW GUYS AND LURKERS?
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!)
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-

Hi Dx,
Going up and down about two lbs, no losses in the last few weeks, but none necessary. New veins and muscles popping out though, which probably indicates gains in muscle mass.
Last week 172
This week 170
All in all, this post-goal weight maintenance diet is pretty good. Where I used to long for the carb loads on Wedesday and Sunday evenings, entering week 6, I feel like I could go without carbs completely (still on only 20-30 grams carb).
It still freaks me out how I can do rigorous exercise on low-carb.
Have a Good Week,
Dave

Greetings from Singapore! I am traveling in Asia again for the next month and will be hitting all the major cities before I return to the US.
This week, I am happy to report that I'm overweight! After being super morbidly obese, I am now merely overweight according to the BMI. I started out with a BMI of 52.4 and now I am at 29.8.
I'm down 4 lbs. since last week. Overall, I'm down 136 since surgery, and down 155 from my highest weight!
Highest: 375 Consultation: 373 PAT: 361 Surgery: 356 Last Week: 224 Today: 220

Good Sunday morning to everyone!!! Well I just weighed myself (after getting back from AL for a road trip) and thought I did not do well since eating in the car was mainly nuts and beef jerky and the grandparents still don't understand bypass rules per say but I lost another 3 pds....
5/1/2007 - Liquid diet weight = 365
5/15/07 - Surgery Day weight = 352
09/30/07 - Today's weight = 267.50
I am finally JUST OBESE and not "Morbidly Obese or even "Super Morbid Obese) My BMI is 39.4 from a high of 53.9. My waist size is roughly a 40 - 42 from a 56 (according to the police dept uniform shop anyways) so not only are my pants for the police falling off (added weight doesn't help either) my shirt is to baggy...Haha....Good thing I am going to Antarctica to tone up the fat thats forming in the belly
Hi All,
Flat week weight-wise, but great week life-wise. Weather here is beginning to feel like Fall and that always boosts my spirits. Hope everyone is good and that we get positive news about Bob McQ soon.
Highest: 345
Today: 216.5
This week: -0/+0
Total loss: 128.5

Hello all,
It's been a break even week, which I can live with. Unlike others, I'm not looking forward to Fall and Winter. I am always so COLD now. Oh well, I guess that's just a side effect of less insulation.
Here's my numbers:
Starting weight, 1st consult (January 13, 2006) 339
Surgery weight (March 20, 2006): 300
Weight last week: 177
Weight this week: 177
Total lost: 162
Happy October to everyone.
Life is great, Rick
