OT: Running - I may be biologically disadvantaged (funny video)
Hey Guys,
Just about every day, I do some kind of running related exercise and sprint several times a week. My guess is, though, that I am biomechanically disadvantaged. What exactly is this disadvantage?
Well, watch this video of world-record holding sprinter, Asafa Powell and maybe you can tell me:

Hi Doug,
No doubt about it, I'm decidedly "concave" (concaved in) in comparison to Asafa powell. I'm hoping it's just that his tights are really high tech and hug around his...err..."unit" that way. Or maybe his leg muscles are just so big as to force it out... not that I'm worried! Back to my Natural Hormonal Enhancement diet!

Hi Terry,
It's true, if you watch them in slow motion, those guys/ girls spend half of their running time airborn. What is difficult for me to see/do is get my legs to turn over that quickly. For them, it's like 350+ little jumps per minute (would that be about 70 steps in 9-10 seconds?) Just unbelievable.
