Anyone know of correlation between WLS and Thyroid or Prostate problem?

I heard from my PCP today regarding blood and urine tests earlier in the week. Blood test shows a high level of a thyroid hormone (TSH, I guess) and a high white cell count. Urine test shows a "huge number of bacteria" in my urine (doc suspects this is caused by a prostate infection). I am 53 years old, and 10 weeks RNY post-op. My pre-op blood tests did not show any abnormalities, but I don't know if the lab would have tested TSH levels. They certainly would have noticed a high white cell count, though, so I am guessing that is recent. Has anyone heard of any linkage between WLS and thyroid and/or prostate problems? Thanks, Joe Bear

At 10 weeks I would ASSUME your body is dumping alot of toxins that were stored in your fat before WLS. Seems alot of people go "wacky" soon after WLS then come back to normal. I could be wrong I have no real knowledge, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
