Great Video Clips for Running Technique

Hey Guys,

Still working on HIIT and running technique and found these. Many of them are of elite runners. Something to think about while you're jogging away the miles. If you search among the video links, you may even be able to find one about treadmill running. Hope some find this useful or at least interesting. The Carl Lewis and Asafa Powel videos are so amazing that everyone should watch them - just for entertainment value.

Here is a great running video I found of Asafa Powell from different angles and in slow motion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjA2n63CmKw Then, that Carl Lewis Analysis is in the video at the bottom of this page: http://www.posetech.com/video/index.php/P33/ This guy, Haile Gebreselassie, an elite distance runner is also cool to watch (plus good analysis): http://www.posetech.com/video/index.php/weblog/haile_gebrese lassie_video_analysis/ These two are Dr. Stroganoff demonstrating his methods: This is where Pose parts from the norm, here he’s showing how the method is just a series of falls and catches, keeping yourself in the Pose in between (with a young female 800 meter pro): http://www.posetech.com/video/index.php/weblog/pose_fall_pos e_fall/  Fast: http://www.posetech.com/video-old/drromanov_fast.mov And slow: http://www.posetech.com/video-old/drromanov_slow.mov  Great symmetry, eh? He’s even got an entire page of slight running screw-ups: http://www.posetech.com/video/index.php/weblog/running_clips /

In a nutshell, the method is running on the balls of your feet, precise alternation one foot to the other, pulling of the leg in the order of ankle-hamstring-hip, straight vertical body line.

Have a Great Week,

DDave

Sorry, don't know why the OH editor keeps taking out my spaces and new paragraphs, lately. Should have been neatly formatted.
