Holy Crap Batman!!
10 days out of surgery and im down 16 lbs. I lost about 6 lbs in 3 days. Im simply amazed. I began eating solids yesterday and Im feeling great. My energy level is getting better and I was able to do some stuff around the house too. I even managed to ride the bike some today and I felt good.
When I started this weight loss thing last spring I first went low carb and tried it on my own. I was 450 lbs then. I dropped to 405 then had some cake on my birthday. In 2 weeks I was up to 422. I made a decision to go ahead with the Lap Band and never looked back. I was 406 at the time of surgery on 9/14 andas of today, 9/23, im 390. Its been over a year since I was below 400 and im happy. Only 190 to go now....................

Cool!
Things I wish I had learned right after my surgery:
learn to eat slow
learn to adjust your eyes/brain on portions - the eyes/brain don't adjust as quick as the stomach. learn to measure portions.
Learn your "stop" signals - watery eyes, runny nose, hiccup, burp. If you eat past that signal, the next bite will most likely cause pain. If you don't chew well enough and get stuck, you'll be sliming like a rabid dog and most likely will have to upchuck it. If you eat too much it will back up in your throat and you'll get nauseated. avoid these situations if you can.
Way to go Jeff. Sounds like you are working your tool. I am sure it was great to be riding again. I think I waited about two and a half weeks before I went for my first ride. The Doc gave me the OK a few days later at three weeks. I didn't want to **** him off so I didn't tell him, or my wife for that matter.
