The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In ____September 23rd! scale (I've been "Off-the-Web" a lot this week, in non-cyber-activity. Hope all are doing well.) (Continued thoughts, prayers and well wishes out for Bob and family.... By the way, if you know someone, or have a 'contact' in that part of the country, maybe a call to them and have them 'check-in' on Bob?  Just a thought....Onsite contact is Super Helpful. ) Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys. For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest! For those of you just home— "Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there, And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts- It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week! Yes, using the scales can make some crazy, (Slower loss is Still Loss!) -But- Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!" Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss. I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more If the numbers climb just a little. That way, I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine. If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?" Then STAY OFF of Them! But for those who Are weighing in- Drum roll-------------------------------------- Hop your Azz up on the Scales! How much have you lost? Since Surgery? Or in Pre-Op Diet? And has the Scale moved this week for you? If so, How Much? My Starting Weight? – 385 + All Time Low – 179 Me?-   184...  This is getting VERY redundant.... (OK, It's actually my Saturday Weight, but I'll be up and out the door in the morning before I get a chance to post!) So, What about YOU? (NEW GUYS AND LURKERS? Scan back over the last months of this weekly post, And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress, Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!) Keep It Up!!! Best Wishes-Mike Wazowski

Hi Dx,

I'm up 1 kg (call it 2 lbs.) this week, but seeing more muscle and veins from this diet.

172 this week.

I'll do anything to keep those tiger-stripe like veins poking out of the sides of my forearms, so 4 weeks ago I started the most reputable of the bodybuilder diets, NHE. This is a low carb diet with high Omega 3 intake and carb loading twice a week to keep the metabolism from slowing down.

Have a Great Week!

Dave

I am still on a very slow slide. I am still struggling to use my tool correctly when my schedule pushes me too hard. I am very happy to report loss instead of gain, but I know I am still capable of losing 2# - 3# per week, so to be losing at 0.2# - 0.4# consistently week after week lets me know that the problem is me… I firmly believe a Band adjustment will help me with the calories… and my resolve will help with the better choices to balance the fat content. With that being said, here are my results to date… 05Oct06          389.0   -           Initial Consult with Illinois Bariatric Clinic 30Jan07           359.6   -           Lap Banding Day 08Mar07         First Fill          Band is at 4cc’s 16Apr07          Second Fill      Band is now at 6cc’s 16Sep07          282.2               Last Weeks Weight 23Sep07          282.0   -           0.2# Loss since last Sunday 107.0# Loss overall 77.4#   Loss since surgery 32.4#   Loss since last band fill Starting BMI = 57.44 Current BMI = 41.64
