scales woes

Dave, I’m with Ard on this. Think Long range. It’s a set of stair-steps down the scale, Not a straight slide. Most experience a stall around the third to 4th week Due to glycogen stores replenishing. Weigh as you feel best, but track the numbers Over longer spans of time to get a real sense Of the losses. One may "Average" 1 pound a day, even if the scales show no loss for two weeks, then 30 pounds over the next two. Yes? Breathe. Check to see if you are "accidentally" consuming Too many Calories. (some people find fitday.com very helpful) And if not? Then wait for it. Bariatric Surgery Does, in fact, Work- (As long as you are following the doctor's orders.) Pure and simple. Otherwise NO Insurance, Anywhere, EVER, Would have forked over 2 cents for it. Yes? Hang in there, and enjoy the ride! Best Wishes- Dx

I went through the same thing. I dropped fast at first, then slow, then fast again. Three things I can say are
1. - TRY not to take the day to day weigh in's to heart. I know they say dont weight urself EVERYDAY, btu I know it's hard not to. If you do, do not take it to heart. Pick one day to do it each week and go by that.
2. - I know when I started to exercise there was a slower weight lioss at first, then when the body got adjusted, it started to come off.
3. - Like stated in an earlier reply - look at the long term picture. You have to realize that 4 or 7 or 10 or 3 a week is still a loss. They all add up.
Keep it up and hold your head up.
