Day 7 post op dr visit

I had my day 7 post op dr visit today and all went well. My total weight went below 400 for the first time in over a year. I know that I am still on liquids and that may change when I begin adding solids to my food intake on Saturday, but im so happy about it. Today was the first day I felt really out of steam. I guess my Lap Band swelling is going down and my "opening" is enlarging. I wont receive my first "fill" until Oct 18th, so until then I need to be ever so vigilant with my foods. Sooooo, that beng said...bring on the chicken broth!!!

You know, today was really rough. Its day 8 and I want to kill something and BBQ it over an open flame. Bring on Saturday!!!!!! I managed to shed another 3 lbs overnight, sheesh, im withering away to nothing.

keep on drinking - get as much protein as possible - i mixed protein powder w/ carnation instant breakfast/fat-free milk, added the Isopure clear protein to fruit juice or crystal light.  egg drop soup (strained), chicken & beef broths, added Isopure clear protein to make the sugar-free jello, lots of sugar-free popsicles and fudgesicles.   start slow adding solids - i started w/ applesauce & cottage cheese, oatmeal, cream of wheat, yogurt, creamy soups, smoothies, mashed taters, egg salad, chicken salad and tuna salad (lots of mayo tho).  hang in there - you're over the worst!!

Since I had to go to work at 4 am, I just made a simple scrambled egg today. Man, it was good and gross at the same time...LOL. I stuck with slimfast for lunch for its convenience and I just finished dinner. I cooked 2 small chicken tenders which was marinated in soy sauce, put some mozzerella cheese and a spoon of salsa over it and went to work on it. Since Im banded I have to chew real well. To my surprise, my brain registered full after only ONE strip!.  On the other side of the region, my movements have been just as weird. I guess it still needs to adjust to new food being re-deposited once again. Ill really need to get the hand of this new way of eating and forget those monster size portions forever.
