Low White Blood Count
John, This is why I love this board. I was referred to a hemo and went TODAY. I have been sluggish for months and really didnt know why. My B12 levels were severly low and after 3 years my primary sent me to a specialist. Once he saw I had WLS, he checked the scar and poked and prodded, checked my lyphnoids? and my breast bone..okay he felt me up. His diagnosis a monthly B12 shot. Funny thing, the tech came and I rolled up my sleeve to the usual flu spot. Tech was like higher dude, Im going for the muscle. He pulled out a larger then normal needle, and like the lil btch that I am, i said , is that gonna hurt? Which was funny since for 8 years I was taking 3 needles a day for my diabetes (up until the WLS) Ok, the good stuff. I KNEW when the meds kicked in. I had a serious rush and was talking a mile a minute. My friends were looking and laughing at me all day like an idiot....but I felt great. I look forward to my happy shot next month. Good luck with your situation Rob DC
