Hey guys. This up coming tuesday marks my 2 month anniversary and I am down about 60lbs.  About two weeks ago i started walking during my lunch and hitting the gym 3 days a week.  My diet is pretty consistant.  2 protein shakes a day, maybe two bottles of gator aid, water, and maybe a bowl of soup or a piece of chicken for dinner.  Does 60lbs seem to be ok? Or should I have lost more? Thanks guys!

Awesome weight loss! That's averaging 360 pounds a year! Figure most guys lose for the first year to 18 months... How much are you shooting to lose? Don't Sweat it.... LinkToCheckout Keep it Up! Best Wishes- Dx

My surgery was 7/30 and I'm down 64lbs.  Sounds like we're pretty close to me.

My surgery was on 7/18 and I was 387 as of today i am 327 my goal is probably 170 so I still have a ways to go.  I would like to reach my goal weight by next summer. I have started hitting the weights so i do understand that that may throw off the scale a little. I am 5'11

Look at it like this... You lost approximately 16% of your total body weight. Or 8% of your total body weight per month. If you continued to lose 8% of your total body weight per month the actual weight loss pounds would decrease however you would still be losing around the same amount of weight.

It's important math to remember. Just for kicks I went back and looked at my percentage of losing since surgery. Started off at 8% and then held steady around 5% for months 2-6. Dipped a bit and then held steady around 4% since. Interesting stuff. Good reminder that I'm still losing at the same rate and it is still rapid, just not 20 pounds a month rapid, but I have a lot less to lose now than I did before.
