HOME!!!
Well, I made it home today. They had some difficulty with the surgery and it went about 1 hr longer. Seems that my fat in the stomach area was so large, he referred to it as a "sea of fat" that it kept sliding back into position everytime he tried to get the band on. He was finally successful and the rest is history. They kept me overnight for observation. Nice private room with polished wood floors too. Yes, pain meds are great too. Liquid Lortabs. Wow, imagine my surprise when 1 small cup of S/F jello filled me up! Got my pill crusher handy, liquids on hand...im all set..LOL
Many thanks for all the well wishes. It was deeply appreciated and made things a bit smoother.
By the way, the Dr who performed the Lap-Band was not Cywes, but his partner Dr Baptista. He is an excellent choice also. Cywes is the main honcho there and Baptista is a fairly new addition. I was not able to change the Dr's name in my avatar. FYI

Welcome home Jeff and good luck on your new journey. I just had my first fill and only 6 weeks in front of you. If you have any questions drop me a PM. I will give you 3 things for advise. Sip and get in all your water. Second make sure you get in your protein and last follow your doc's orders and don't be afraid to call them.
Have a great weekend.
Lifesaver sugar free ice pops really are a life saver
