Meeting women on OH

Has anyone here met any women on OH that developed into anything more than friendship? Have relationships developed that maybe shouldn't have because one or both of you are married? Having a shared interest is quite a bonding thing, how has it affected you?

Early on I chose to not have anyone on my friend's list.  Being a married guy I didn't want my wife asking "WHO IS SHE!!"  Best not to go there for me.  One thing I am sure many can attest to, how someone post on OH may not be how they really are in person.  I think it could lead to big let downs.  I am sure people get togeater at the support groups and go from there.  On the California Board the people from LA are really active.  There are so many of them and they are just a few minutes away from each other by freeway...Brian 

Ron Brister and Sassy Cathy met posting at night on the main board. There used to be a nightly thread- "NightOwls!" Also Cajun Dan and Dixie Chick met there too. Bo McCoy and his wife met on OH (back when it was AMOS) (And maybe Arron and Roxie over on the sex board?) I’ve seen several blossoming relationships over the past 5 years of reading here. I don’t recall ever seeing the – "Married Yet Hooking Up" Couple here though. In my case, there have been folks that have developed into closer friends. My wife and one of the gals from my other board exchange e-mails And network. We’ve had "meet-ups" for lunch and such her and her husband Meeting my wife and I. My first hand experience has been making long-distance friends And meeting in groups for dinner and such when I visit their part of the country. Best Wishes- Dx

Hey D.... I know there have been some...indescretions...on my home board...and there is gennerally a flair up...everyone trying to protect their rep, and then they fade away never to be heard of again... On this subject...look at what you are dealing with...some people, man and women, who a large part feel unloved, and unattractive...meeting on a safe enviroment, where you only talk if you wanna talk, it never matters if you are dirty or unbathed..and on line...you get the mysterious, where you put your own spin, on the words they are saying...so they see what they want you to see...and vice versa... I bet there is as much hanky panky as any internet web site... just my 2 cents Russ

I wouldn't expect many hook ups on this board, but I figured that this isn't the only board many of us frequents. Thanks to all *****plied. I may even try the waiter thing....LOL

Personal advice from experience: Be very very careful. There's a lot of headcases amongst the wimminfolk that frequent OH. I wound up with a stalker last year, after I offered a sympathetic shoulder to someone who had troubles similar to my own. I have a lot of normal, garden variety friends, too.
