It is quite a psychological victory, just knowing that if I gain a few pounds, I can drop it in a couple weeks. Whereas pre-op, the question was, "Will it come off at all, or will I come out even heavier a few months down the road?" This is how it works for me, but I'm a person with a million little addictions, none of which involve substances. These all distract me from food.
