Hard Luck and Baaad News

70's Christian rocker Narry Norman once wrote a song about Hard Luck and Bad News. It's a song about how challenging things seemed to pile up on themselves, and cir****tances seem to have a life of their own when the wheels start falling off the wagon. It seems kinda lame to talk about this with the Bro Bob saga still in full tilt, but I can use some prayer and good thoughts flying off toward the Left coast for me tomorrow. I posted a while back about some hernia action resulting from the Trocanter (I am not sure the correct spelling), the device that is inserted into the left side just under the ribcage for the RNY surgery.  Well the Trocanter created a weak spot in the abdominal wall that has developed into a full blown hernis that I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow so that arrangements can be made for the patch repair. Kinda sounds like scratching up an old innertube, squeezing out the glue, and hoping for the best, back when I was a kid. Anyway, to complicate things, on Friday afternoon, I was stopped at a red light, in my sweet, immaculate '97 Lincoln Towncar, when a junky "74 El Camino slammed into my rear at about 35mph.  Dig this: 56 year old homeless woman, lives in her car, no license, no insurance, no residence, no teeth (not from the accident), and NO CHANCE that I will get anywhere near what I need to replace my favorite car of all time from my uninsured motorist feature in my insurance package. I have a very sore neck and back, and my hernia seems to have intensified in pain since the collision. I do have that Dr. appt in the morning, so I am just gonna tough it out till then.  Anyway, I just wanted to vent a little.  Thanks for being my friends. Tman BTW - The police interviewed the woman, and let her drive away.  Go Figure!

Tony, Hope you get good news for a quick "fix" in the morning. I had a hernia (very small one) that had to get "patched." It was a breeze for me. In and out of the hospital in less than 2 hours. Back up and feeling great in a couple of days. Hope you have it even easier. (and sorry to hear about the auto…Ooouch!) Keep us posted! Best Wishes- Dx

Tnx DX, Having been so big for these many years I find myself kinda anxious whenever I have to be anestetized (more spelling).  They always have to load me up pretty good just to knock my fat AZZ out and it takes more time in recovery than I want.  I have trained myself to utter the magic words as soon as I wake up "Yes I can pee" just to avoid the prospect of tubing up (cathetar) by the nurse.LOL! Tnx CF, I appreciate your testimony and success story lots.  Thanks for the encouragement.  Yep, the Lincoln was a hit I wasn't prepared for, but it IS/WAS just a hunk O metal, a sweet hunk, but still just a hunk none-the-less. Tman
