Tour de Fat rolls on
My Tour de Fat rolls on this Sunday with the 100 miler Buffalo Cycling Classic. I rode it last year and it's a great ride. My goal is to ride it in 5 hours 30 minutes which would mean I need to average 18.2 MPH. If I can do it, this would move me one step closer to my goal of a 5 hour century.
The course is pretty lumpy (e.g. lots of climbs) so it will be a challenge. I also hyperextended my elbow last week in a pickup basketball game so I haven't been able to bike until last night. Anywho, enough whining -- bring it on!!

Way to go, Boner. Keep it up. Climbing is rush, isn't it?
I was surprised how much I used my arms when I rode a lot. If you want toned arms, cycling is a way to get them. Post op guys tend to be pretty light and there are lots of opportunities to "dance" (stand up and pedal for uphill), which automatically gets the arms.
So, if you've got a blow out elbow it will truly set you back.
Not sure if the tendinitis braces/velcro straps on the forearm just below the joint will help? They may, if the pain is coming from an inflamed tendon sliding through its sheath.
