Sorry guys for butting in again---
This is copied and pasted from KansasGal's post about Bob --on the Main OH Forum....

I just got home from Columbia, MO tonight after my dr's appt this morning. Yesterday, I stopped by the University of MO Hospital to see Bob and his wife Lori. Lori, her mom and I visited for about 3 hours in Bob's room. Bob is still in critical condition and is in ICU. He remains in his drug-induced coma, and is on a respirator, though he is breathing on his own. The dr said they keep the respirator on in case he does have problems with his breathing. While I was there, the nurse removed bile from his bag, and I was shocked when she took part of it and put it back into him through a syringe! I had to ask what she was doing, and she said that the bile helps with his digestion of the liquids he is being tube fed. Lori said he has received, I believe, 12 or more pints of blood. The dr explained that the body in his state, does not produce adequate blood, and so they have to help it. Bob had an endoscopy today, but I was not able to go back to the hospital today, so don't know the results. The dr also said that they were going to put stents in. While I was there, Bob would move around every once in awhile. His hands had to be restrained, as he has pulled out his tube. Folks, I ask you to continue to pray for Bob and Lori. Lori has been through the mill too, but is staying strong. Her employer called her the other day and wanted to know if she was coming back to work or if she had quit! She replied that she is sitting at her husband's bedside, and he is still in critical condition in a drug-induced coma, and she would not leave him! (Of course not!) Lori is staying with her mom who leaves 30 miles from Columbia, but is at the hospital most of the time, and said she hasn't seen her kids for 3 weeks, as I believe they live three hours or more from Columbia. Lori appeared strong and in good spirits, and I am very impressed by her good attitude! I am sure CardsFan will give us an update soon. I will crosspost this on the Missouri forum as well.

We appreciate the thorough update. It appears our friend Bob still has some work to do. We can't give up on our locker room brother. My heart certainly goes out to Bob, Lori, and their children.

Jake, quick version... Bob McQueen had his surgery on the 20th. Sounds like he had a similar issue as I did. Internal leak, had to be opened back up repaired, rinsed out, etc... He has been closed, and kept in an induced coma while stabilizing. It's been 16 days of ICU. There's a contact e-mail address in the post above to send Well-wishes... Much healing needs to take place... Best Wishes- Dx

Wow, sad to hear things are so difficult for the family. The kids must be in shock. Let's hope for quick improvement.

My best to Bob and his Family. How often do people have this problem after WLS? How many people does it happen to? I don't have my date yet for RNY and need to get all the information I can. Thanks
