I was trying to make it through a full two years without throwing up, but it didn't work :-( Today I ate some wheat crackers, and it seems as if I ate them to fast. I was sitting down watching TV and I felt some pain after a while, so I got up and it gotten even worst. I went to the bathroom and threw up a little bit and felt better. A couple of mins later the pain came back and I threw up even more. It's been about an hour now and I feel normal, but damn I really didn't want to throw up. Could there have been some damaged done ???

You're a month out? Probably no damage done since you're at or pretty close to being able to eat solid foods. People do a wholllle lot worse at your stage. Sometimes they get away with it. Sounds like you just put too much into a swollen pouch. You may throw up/ get the foamies 1 to 5 to 7 or more times a week over the next few months. It could last longer, mileage varies.

Best Wishes,

Dave

Yep, Crackers can "gum-up" and clog nearly as bad as bread can Under the right cir****tances. Probably no "damage" done. But, like falling off a bike when learning to ride- Bet you won’t try that the same way again soon. One thing to watch out for- After an episode that irritates the pouch, Many find that their pouch is "Fussy" or easily disturbed For the next day or two. Take it easy for a bit, even if it feels like all is fine. You wouldn’t want a surprise repeat performance soon I’d imagine. Hang in there. It does get easier each week…. And Month… And Year… Best Wishes- Dx

Jason -  I didnt want to throw up either, but i did.  As you start to get into eating 'regular' food you will find out what you can and can not eat.  You will foam and throw up again.  Just as long as there is no blood, it should be ok.

J - Dude, it happens. I will be 7 months tomorrow and I'm still learning things the hard way.  Even today, I tried to re-introduce a food that made me ill about 2 months ago and guess what........Yack City all over again.  I can now comfortably say that all pork products are forever off my list, but being the hard head that I am I had to confirm it the hard way. The crackers....like Dx said, I have come to learn that they can act just like bread if I eat too many or eat them too fast.  To compound that, crackers is on the list of stuff that I absolutely MUST wait a full 45 minutes to an hour before taking in any water afterwards.  Swelling = clogging = foaming = yack = not worth it for me. Each of us is different and as we progress our pouches will indeed keep us educated to the new rules of living.  Just learn from each experience and keep moving forward.  The first time something happens consider it a learning experience.  The second time you do it consider it a mistake.  If it happens a third time.....then you kick yourself in the butt for being stupid. :-) Hang in there and enjoy the ride on the learning curve.
