I am at a all time low today!!
I went to see my Primary Care Doc and he told me the news that made me almost cry today, I weigh 292lbs and that I was at his office 11 months ago and I weighed 317. According to his scale I have lost 25lbs since then, I just wanted to jump out the window(dead serious), I was just starting to feel good about myself again. I got a call last night about the job I interveiwed for, the Chief has been asking about me and he told this Brother(A Sgt) that I have known since I was a lil kid to tell me the job is mine in 6months and I started a serious Protien Train and getting ready to workout and now this news. I had about 20 tubes of blood drawn today to see why I am very weak, I couldnt even grip my Docs hand today.
I am dying to just grab me a gallon Ice Cream some cheezits and just say **** IT( I cursed) and get back to being the fat dude again. I am off to take a long walk to church and maybe say a prayer or two, good night all!!!
PS: At I did cook this blazing meal for my family(Poor Mans Sirloin Steak).
Hey man -
All I can say is that I had the same issue with strength. I immediatly upped my protein intake to 110g per day. I also take a 5000ms b12 sublingual every day. It took about 3 weeks to tell the difference.
Keep ur head up.

D, Some of that is crappy news, but not all. Walk it off! Good that you had the blood-work done. I’ll bet that’s where you’ll find the problem with strength. And probably even some reasoning to explain your slow-down of weight loss. Could be any number of things, But the one constant is you have made great advances and can continue to do so. Substitute some other comforting activity for the Ice Cream….. Hot shower, earlier to bed, etc… The Job thing sounds like good news…(am I reading it wrong?) Grab on to all of your Victories, and drop those negative thoughts. They will always weigh you down. Hope the Blood-work gives you the "Quick-Fix." Best Wishes- Dx
Man I feel ya, I haven't been under 300 in 18 yrs. Actually 292 was my playing weight when I was at FSU. As much as you want to eat gallons of ice cream don't do it. Do something that you couldn't have done when you were heavy. Sitting here at my desk, I can see and feel this huge roll of fat where my belly is and it actually hurts to sit up. I can't even remember the last time I touched my toes. I can't wait to have this surgury and start losing for real and for the last time.
God Bless and Good Luck.
Perhaps it's better to look at this one as the glass 1/2 full rather then the glass 1/2 empty. At least your 25 lbs less then you were...and if I remember correctly you're over 100 lbs down from your starting weight.
Hopefully they will find out what is making you so weak, perhaps once they fix it, your weight loss will resume.
