Sleeping
After reading everyones reply, I must have gotten lucky. Mine was Lapro and I was able to sleep the night I got home in my bed. Now I did have to put up a wedge of pillows, but i was in the bed. I was able to sleep on my stomach after 3 days. It will get better. Keep up the goos work.

I'm 3 days post-op, and even though I did very well with the surgery, sleeping is one of the things that is giving me trouble. At the hospital I didn't even try it in the bed. I always used the recliner. The first night was extremely rough, basically sleep for 10 minutes, wake up, hit the morphine pump, sleep for 10 minutes, repeat. The last night in the hospital was much better, and I probably slept about 2-3 hours at a time.
Last night was the first night home, and I tried sleeping in my bed. That didn't work too well. First, I absolutely could not use my CPAP machine. That thing made me feel like I was drowning, and I woke up in a panic and ripped it off. I slept for a couple of hours okay on my back after that, but I couldn't roll over onto my side, and that got really uncomfortable. Eventually I just got up and made a spot on the couch where I could sleep sort of sitting up, and I was able to sleep there for a good 4 hours. Woke up about an hour ago with the most amazing farts!
When I got home from the hospital I had so much energy flowing through my system that I could not sleep more than 4 hours a night for about the first week...
I asked my surgeon's office staff if this was normal, and she told me that it's quite common and that I was by no means the first one to mention it. She told me if I wanted to take Benedryl or Tylenol PM that it would be okay.
