Well good Thursday morning everyone!  How'd ya sleep?  I hope you slept as good as I did!  Man!  What a good nights sleep will do for ya.  Feels good don't it? Our challenge for today is to realize that you can't please everyone.  When you try to please everyone, you end up only hurting yourself.  We as humans can not be a chameleon lizard.  You know, he's the kind of lizard that changes colors to adapt to his surroundings.  There is a story of one chameleon that fell into a box of crayons and exploded.  If we try to please everyone, we'll end up exploding emotionally or maybe even physically.  We have to learn we just can not please everyone in our lives.  We want to, but we can't.  We have to learn to accept that and move on.  People will end up loving you just the same.  So let's stop hurting ourselves and stressing trying to please!   Please only as you can.  You are you and they will accept that.  If not.......................... So, who's up?  What cha sipping on this morning?  The flavor of the day is Dark Covered Chocolate Strawberries.  Man!  Is this stuff ever good!  YUMO!   Ya'll have a wonderful and blessed Thursday and make today the best day of your life!

I rarely sip on anything when I wake up.  However, I do want to respond to your question of, "How did you sleep?"  I sleep intermittantly and this is a subject that comes up every time I see my psychiatrist.  Since I am bi-polar, excessive sleep or sleep deprivation could be a sign of changes in my disease and a need for a change in meds.  We have agreed that most people do not need the societal norm of 8 hours of solid sleep at night.  Since I am retired due to disability, I don't have to go to bed at a set time in order to be able to awaken in time for work.  I have inherited the need to get up several times during the night to go to the bathroom ( this is characteristic on both sides of my family from the time I was a young child).  The shrink agreed that it is not unusual for many adults to sleep for a few hours, awaken for an hour, and then go back to sleep for a few more hours.  He's also said that, considering my condition and my age, there is no harm with me taking naps.
